Ducky Bath!

Emmi is enjoying her Ducky Bath! Ha ha Ernie! She's got your Rubber Ducky beat! Nana got this great big bath ducky before Emmi was even born! She can't sit up in it yet - which is what it's for - but soon. Too soon for Mommy and Daddy!

A big weekend!

Here is little Emmi having her first solid food! We're not quite sure if she is ready for this full time, but it was a fun night!

Here is Emmi sleeping in her crib. This is two separate nights! Mommy didn't cave! Emmi enjoys having her own room. It's nice to now be able to use all the great things in the nursery all in one place!

More new clothes

Our friends in New York got this outfit for Emmi. She loves it - it never stays in place - always in the mouth!! Unless of course she is asleep!

Special Moment

We lost my Granddaddy in 2002. It was his home we all visited in Reno, where my Grandmother has pictures of him on her fridge. While my aunt Traci was holding Emmi, she started talking to his pictures. We all watched with tears and Emmi talked and laughed to the man she never met on this earth ... but now we know she met him somewhere else.

Surprise!

While everyone was watching the baby, the surprise guest, my bother, snuck by and sat and waited. (You can see him on the left in the background!) He greeted us at the elevator and was a wonderful surprise for everyone in Reno!

Here we are at the airport gate and then on the airplabe. Emmi did great! We did not upset any other passengers!

A New Milestone

Emmi has developed her hand / eye coordination! She ..s l o w l y ... reaches for rattles and toys we hold in front of her, then ..zip.. to the mouth! She is growing too fast ... I think I said that before...

Emmi likes to wear hats!

A baby that enjoys hats is rare I know. Who knows, this phase may not even last - so I am enjoying it for as long as I can!

For you native Arizonans...

This is actually how you are supposed to dress in cold weather! Thankfully my Aunt Tracy bought this preciaous sweater set for Emmi - it even came with mittens. It was cooler in Truckee so she already got to wear the outfit!

We tried not to let Emmi steal the show too badly ... my cousin had nothing to worry about. She was an absolutely beautiful bride! And yes, Emmi's tights have the ruffles on the bum!

Vacation

Here are some shots from our recent trip to Reno, NV and Truckee, CA. My Grandmother and cousin live in Reno - and my cousin got married on November 3.
